How Essential Oils Help with Scalp Care Concerns

Hey guys!! And welcome to today’s tips and tricks. Today we'll be talking about the benefits of using essential oils for scalp care and what it does for your hair.

What are Essential oils?

For those who aren't sure, Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants. The oils capture the plant's scent and flavor, or “essence.” Unique aromatic compounds give each oil a unique scent.

Essential oils are a very important factor to hair care, scalp care specifically. Imagine a 22 year old woman, standing in the mirror crying because she's losing her hair from alopecia; this young lady tried everything she could think of to combat this problem. This includes Nioxin, Rogaine as well as prescribed medications all the big guns, when in fact, there’s been research proving using Rosemary oil has the same effectiveness as rogaine, with less side effects. Crazy right!

It's interesting essential oils haven't made the grand reveal they deserve but we are hear to speak on the power of essential oils and how they rest to be proven to be best for common scalp care concerns. Peppermint is powerful.

Two Essential Oils Worth Mentioning

Peppermint. Peppermint is antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory which is great to properly cleanse and nourish the scalp.

Cedarwood is an antiseptic that helps with dandruff.

***Note remember all essential oils MUST be used with a carrier oil.

We recommend jojoba oil OR avocado oil.

***There are over 20 essential and plant extract oils that can be used to help with many common hair care concerns.
